Welcome

Small Tall Tales is all about stories.

More specifically, it is about using the written (or should that be typed?) word to tell captivating, motivating and engaging stories.

Sometimes those stories are hundreds of pages long, sometimes they are hundreds of words long, and sometimes they are told with just a few choice words in the right order.

I like to write stories about people and I like to write stories for people, so if you like to read stories, or you’d like a story written for you or your business, you’ve come to the right place.

Busy Bee

Here is the first draft of a little story I wrote that kind of is and kind of isn’t about bees. It is the longest story I have written in over a year. Thanks for your patience as I reconfigure…

Untitled (July 2021 FF)

It’s been more than a little while since I posted anything here; I gave myself a significant break from social media during the colder months (that’s pretty much June through September for all of those not from the southern hemisphere),…

An Open Letter to Visitors of this Site

Dear Reader

Chances are you’re here for one of two reasons, both of which are very valid reasons if I do say so myself. You see, I fancy myself a bit of a wordsmith. Well, “fancy myself” is probably underselling it, given that I have the education and the experience to confirm the claim.

Anyway, as a self- and institution-accredited word wrangler, I have decided to offer my talents to the highest bidder. Okay, you got me, to any bidder, really.

On this site, you will find a wealth of things I have written for both professional and personal projects. Please feel free to explore and read at your leisure.

If you’re a fan of my style and let’s be honest, why wouldn’t you be, perhaps I can lend my skills to telling your story? Be that a tall tale to be enjoyed by a loved one, or some SEO and SEM-friendly copy to help sell your product, service or brand.

You can contact me via all the usual social channels, which are conveniently accessible via those fun little images at the bottom of this page, or by heading over to the contact page via the top menu.

Also, be sure to sign up for my mailing list, which I will be using to send out monthly Small Tall Tales and other musings, provide the interest level is there.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

James
