Keeping with the TV critiquing theme, earlier this year in my writing for television class we had to do a script analysis for Australian drama The Slap. Basically we had to assess the success the script in terms of strength/clarity of themes, narrative structure, character development etc.
If you haven’t watched The Slap yet (do so ASAP), each episode focused on one of the major characters, someone who was present at the actual slap of the title and whose life was affected by the incident. This is an analysis of the 4th episode of the series, the episode dedicated to the character of Connie.
