Happiness (Tomorrow)

Wow! Over 2 months since I posted anything which means over 2 months since I finished anything.  Time to rectify the situation I think. All of my fan(s?) will be chomping at the bit.

This is a little story that began life as a class exercise (don’t they all?) that I decided to continue on with. The exercise in question had us attempt to write a personal memoir from the point of view of one of the following: –

  • a hitman admiring his gun
  • a nun advancing the argument for chastity
  • a parking officer justifying his job
  • a man or woman bemoaning the drudgery of housework
  • a full forward just having kicked the 8o-metre winning goal
  • the world’s happiest prostitute.

Me being me I decided to do more than one and so started writing about ‘the world’s happiest prostitute bemoaning the drudgery of housework’. Whether I was successful in believably representing the personal recollections of such as person i don’t know, nevertheless, here is the story I completed.
