This is the 1st half of the 1st draft of a story about a girl who falls in love with a stripper named Billy. Actually, it is two different versions of that story, one told from a 3rd person perspective, the other from the 1st person. This is another story that I plan on including in my short story collection that will be finished (and published?) sometime within the first half of this year. The question is: which version is better? Which should I go with? I’m hoping you lot can help me decide.

Seems you have put more time into the 1st person version. In the 3rd person version I got the impression that a high school student was going to a strip club. That was odd. Also, the last few paragraphs puzzled me. But, it is first draft.
Thanks so much for the feedback. Always good to get a fresh perspective.
